Nourish: Yoga for a Healthy Relationship to Eating and Body Image

Yoga is a holistic system that builds self-awareness and self-confidence that can be transformative for your body, mind, and spirit.

This series will support you in:

  • increasing your determination and confidence to create a more nourishing relationship with food;
  • shifting your narrative about yourself away from scarcity and towards abundance;
  • increasing your appreciation and comfort being in and moving your body;
  • increasing your sense of control over your eating habits; and (most importantly!)
  • increasing your peace of mind and sense of wellbeing.

Learn lifelong practices that will reconnect you to what will truly nourish your soul!

As part of the series, you will receive:

  1. Education and Experience in movement, breathwork, chanting and meditation using the yogic Pancamaya model of human dimensions.
  2. Written copies of the practices after each class to use in home practice.
  3. Audio recordings of the guided meditations and breath practices.
  4. A one-hour private consultation with Jen Peterson, during or after the series.

Yoga for Healthy Joints

Join me for this 6-week series of classes focusing on building vitality in the bones and tissues that make up our joints. This series will be held in person in Bristol, VT on Tuesday evenings 5:30-6:45pm, starting October 7th and ending November 11th.

In each class I will share information and gentle movement for the main joints that support healthy movement and stability in the body: feet, knees, hips, spine (lower and upper back and neck) and shoulders. Education and experience will focus on increasing circulation, supporting aligned and healthy range of motion, creating physical and physiological integration, and encouraging regeneration and resilience. Written copies of the practices will be provided after each practice for use in creating a home practice that continues supporting healthy movement and longevity in your body.

Monday Gentle Yoga Class (60 min)

This one hour yoga class is designed using the principles of Viniyoga, a breath-centric practice carefully choreographed with the intention of building awareness of your body and cultivating structural and physiological balance and resilience. Adaptations are shared to meet everyone's ability.

Saturday Integrative Yoga Practice

This is a 45 minute class that will include all the tools you need to support healing and wellness at a multidimensional level. Each class will generally include 20 minutes of asana with accessible, slow, breath-centric movement, 15 minutes of pranayama (breathwork), and 10 minutes of meditation and/or contemplation. This class offers you a chance to drop in deeply, create integration of your whole being, and to know your true Self.

Thursday Yin and Yang Yoga Class

Enjoy the energizing and calming effects of two styles of yoga. Each week will offer either Yin Yoga or Viniyoga (a more yang, but very gentle, style of yoga asana.
